Thats right! I just ordered a bass body from Warmoth.  Its solid Wenge, which is a dark chocolate, real grainy African wood.  Its a beast, but from everyone I've talked to in the guitar building industry, wenge sounds awesome, with a lot of growl, which is very tasty.  Im still up in the air about pickups, so any bass gurus out there feel free to shout out.  I may go with Bartolinis, which is whats on my current bass, but I think Id rather go away from that to have a distinct sound.  Like I read in a recording magazine, "Its better to sound new than good."  Ill start posting pictures as I get the parts in and assembled.  Im pretty excited, since I really dont have an exciting life... lol.  I will be a level 2 builder with a bass of slaying +3.

Just got back from watching Lady in the Water.  I really enjoyed the flick.  A lot of coverage was negative, which I don't understand.  There was a great mix of comedy, suspense, drama and action.  I put this guy right in the middle of Night's releases.  Sixth Sense and Signs are tough to beat, and I thought this was better than Unbreakable and The Village, both of which I also enjoyed.   I give it 3 thumbs up... Well, after several years after receiving my shodan, I finally started teaching.  I was struggling between teaching the system (Okinawan Shorei Kempo) I was promoted in, or taking several other styles that I trained in, including Ninpo Taijutsu, Jujutsu, along with whatever I was able to soak up at seminars, and adding components that I found particularly useful.  Tradition is a very strong bond in the martial arts and whenever you step away from that tradition you create ripples.  But I guess that has always been my way.  My way or what the hell am I doing.  So, I brought in those new concepts, changed (gasp!) several training methodologies to impart onto my students.  I have 4 guys training with me now, and they're all going to be awesome martial artists.
